About The Role
As a Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in delivering industry development and innovation programs that support the State’s economic priorities. You will:
- Lead and manage complex projects aligned with state development goals, including Strategic Industrial Areas and major infrastructure initiatives.
- Coordinate and deliver programs and initiatives that drive innovation, enable infrastructure, and promote sustainable industry growth.
- Manage financial assistance agreements and commercial contracts between government, industry, and stakeholders.
- Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and submissions that influence policy and strategic planning.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform and contribute to the development of industry and innovation policy.
- Manage complex land use planning and economic development projects.
- Identify infrastructure requirements and opportunities for industry growth.
- Assist proponents in navigating government approval processes and addressing project delivery challenges.
- Provide expert advice and input on technical and strategic issues impacting project outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex industry development projects or significant project components.
- Proven ability to deliver successful project outcomes across multiple, concurrent initiatives.
- Strong analytically and research capabilities with a strategic mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write fluently and persuasively across formats.
- Experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and inter-agency collaboration.
