About The Role

Join our team of dedicated Breast Sonographers in a friendly, collaborative and patient-centred environment. Working alongside Mammographers and dedicated Specialist Breast Radiologists you will:

• Perform high-quality breast ultrasounds with GE LogiQ10 machines (upskilling provided if this machine is new to you)
• Assist the Breast Radiologists to perform interventional procedures like core biopsies, hookwire and carbon track placements, drainages and clip insertions.
• Expand your knowledge and skillset with a variety of clinical assessments, including female and male breast, post-surgical and post-treatment imaging and implant evaluations.
• Provide compassionate care in a warm, welcoming environment.
  
  

A dedicated Breast Radiologist is always on hand to review your images with you before the patient leaves the department.

You will have the opportunity to work across our central clinics at Burnside Hospital and 337 South Terrace, Adelaide. If desired, there is also the option to travel to our peripheral sites in Morphett Vale, Mount Barker, Victor Harbor, Port Lincoln and Alice Springs.

Full-time and part-time positions available.

Key Requirements

• Current registration with the Australian Sonographer Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
• Graduate Certificate in Breast Ultrasound (ICBR) or Graduate Certificate/Master in Medical Sonography (General)(IGSO/IMSO).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and committed to ongoing professional development.
• Experience in Mammography highly regarded (desirable but not essential).
