Trainee Electrical Estimator Port Melbourne, VIC

Stowe Australia one of the country’s leading Electrical & Communications Contractors, is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior or Trainee Electrical Estimator to join our Client Service Estimating Team based in Port Melbourne.

About The Role

You will work closely with a team of experienced estimators and project managers, gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills in electrical and communications project estimating.

Duties Include

• Assisting with the preparation of tender submissions and cost estimates.
• Learning to interpret tender and technical documents.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes.
• Building and maintaining face-to-face customer relationships.
• Supporting documentation control and data entry tasks.
• Participating in training and mentoring programs.
• Ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current A-Grade Electrical Licence.
• Demonstrated experience in the electrical industry (commercial/industrial projects preferred).
• Sound understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and materials.
• Competence in reading and interpreting technical plans and schematics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Project and Word.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Current driver's licence.

A licensed electrician predominantly working on the tools or at a foremen / supervisor level and looking to move into an estimating, project support, or pre-construction role. You have a genuine interest in technical work, enjoy working with numbers and systems, and want to grow your career beyond site-based roles.
