The Salary range is currently $34.88 to $36.75 per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.
Location: Fair Haven Aged Care is a peaceful facility set on 40 scenic acres in semi-rural Hervey Bay, offering natural surroundings with walking paths and birdlife. It's conveniently close to the beachside town’s cafes, shops, parks, and medical services.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Personal Care Worker to join our dedicated team in Residential Aged Care covering 50+ hours a fortnight. In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality personal care to residents while guiding and mentoring fellow Personal Care Workers. You’ll be a key contributor to our Positive Wellbeing Model of Care, ensuring dignity, respect, and comfort for all residents.
Key Responsibilities
You are a compassionate and experienced aged care professional who leads by example. With a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) and proven experience in personal care and medication assistance, you bring both skill and heart to your work. You thrive in a team environment, enjoy mentoring others, and are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and dedication to safety and dignity make you a trusted presence in the lives of residents and colleagues alike.

- Collaborate with nursing staff and leadership to ensure quality care

Essential Requirements
- A current National Police Check - or willingness to obtain if required
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent
- HLTHPS006 – Assist clients with medication
- Manual Tasking Champion competency
- Strong English communication skills
- Previous experience undertaking medication assistance as a Personal Care Worker within aged care
- Certificate IV in Ageing Support
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Experience mentoring or training staff
- Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Internet Explorer)
- Experience training and mentoring staff
