About the Role
The Grampians Local Health Service Network (LHSN) is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to take on the role of Executive Director (ED). This is a unique opportunity to lead a region-wide collaboration of health services, driving integrated care and delivering improved health and wellbeing outcomes across the Grampians region.
As the ED, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and consolidation of partnership initiatives across the network. You will work closely with CEOs, executive teams, and Board Chairs of member health services to ensure alignment with strategic goals, Department of Health priorities, and community needs.
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of the Grampians LHSN strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the Victorian Department of Health’s priorities and the broader vision of the Local Health Service Network. You will be responsible for enabling and maintaining effective governance systems and processes that support system-wide reform and local initiatives, including the Statement of Expectations.
You will provide high-level strategic advice to the network, including the preparation of reports, submissions, funding applications, and annual budgets. A key part of your role will be to ensure that adequate resources are allocated across teams to meet project timelines and deliver optimal outcomes. You will manage the scope, risks, and issues associated with agreed projects, ensuring that all changes and escalations are addressed within the established governance framework.
Success in this role will be measured by the effective implementation of the Grampians LHSN’s aims and deliverables, timely and accurate reporting to the Department of Health and other regulatory bodies, and the ability to operate within the allocated budget. You will be expected to actively participate in strategic and service planning, contribute to the annual business planning process, and ensure that recommendations from reviews are implemented within agreed timeframes. You will have a proven track record of working with diverse stakeholder groups and providing effective leadership in complex organisational settings. You will have demonstrated experience in leading change, holding teams accountable, motivating and influencing others, and building collaborative relationships.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of regional health care in Victoria. You will be at the forefront of innovation, collaboration, and community impact—working with passionate leaders and dedicated teams to make a real difference.
