The role

We are looking for a Sports Trader to be a part of our global trading team in our in-house trading platform.

As a listed and regulated company, Kindred Group pays great attention to player safety and sustainability. Our purpose is to transform gambling by being a trusted source of entertainment that contributes positively to society. Our goal is that 0% of revenue is derived from harmful gambling.

What you will do

  • Work as a member of our global trading team on our in-house trading platform.
  • Monitor and adjust odds both pre match and in-play.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely provision of events, markets and odds for our proprietary trading platform. These would be both feed driven and manually created.
  • Manage Trading Operations- confirm data feeds are available, ensure trading models launch successfully, diagnose issues and work with tech teams and 3rd party providers to resolve issues.
  • Monitor Live Trading Odds- monitor prices and trading activity during live sporting events, ensure prices are correct and all markets settle correctly once events have concluded.
  • Responsible for liabilities and trading positions across the entire Sports betting product (trading).
  • Analysing data to assist in making decisions to improve future trading performance.
  • Monitoring and responding to activity or information (such as betting information, market prices or player injury news) that could impact the profitability of the Sportsbook betting product.
  • Monitor appropriate competitor markets and take action as required.
  • Assist Risk Management with the identification of customers' risk profile.
  • Coordinate with the internal Sportsbook team on Strategy, Marketing, Promotional and Operational issues.
  • There will be a requirement to work a shift pattern including evenings, weekends and public holidays to meet the needs of the business. As a result you will be rewarded with 6 Weeks of Annual Leave.

Your experience

  • A strong knowledge and passion for Sport (with an in-depth knowledge of some sports).
  • Strong mathematical skills with at least a basic understanding of probabilities and/or betting odds.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Willingness to be flexible with hours and schedule.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver solutions within timelines and demanding environments.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft office products particularly Excel.
  • Understanding of customer profiling and behavioural trends.
  • Hard working, flexible and enthusiastic about meeting challenges with solutions.
  • Industry experience is desirable but not essential for this role as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • If no experience, would ideally have a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline such as Maths, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics etc.
