About the opportunity

The Team Leader (ANUM/AMUM) role is to:

  • Compliment and support the strategic direction and management within the EPC
  • Promote excellence in clinical practice and family centred care (in the residential and day stay programs)
  • Provide assessment of clients for admission to EPC programs (in the Assessment and Intake role)
  • Provide leadership and support to the EPC Clinical Team
  • Provide clinical service to admitted families
  • To support the Nurse Unit Manager by acting up in the position to fill planned and unplanned leave
  • Classification depending on qualification and experience of ANUM Year 1, ANUM Year 2, AMUM Year 1, ANUM Year 2 or Mat&Child Nurse ZJ5
  • Permanent Part-Time, Full-Time hours are available
  • EPCs are open Monday to Friday and are closed on Weekends
  • Shifts are Day 0700-1530, Evening 1400-2230 and Night Duty 2200-0730
  • Team Leaders working Evening and Night Duty Shifts are also After-Hours Coordinators and are paid at classification ZC5
  • Free On-Site Car Parking
  • EPC's are open 50 weeks a year with a 2 week closure over Christmas/New Year

  • Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
  • A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management.
  • The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Registered with AHPRA as Nurse and or Midwife
  • Post Graduate qualification midwifery - desirable
  • Post Graduate qualification in Child, Family and Community Nursing (Maternal and Child Health) or equivalent - desirable
  • Post graduate qualification in adult or infant mental health - desirable

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • Candidates are required to meet the position and qualification requirements.
  • Provide a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check (Mercy Health may conduct additional background checks subject to current legislation).
  • Proof of vaccination status consistent with public health orders and with Mercy Health's policy.
