We’re looking for a smart, scrappy, and ambitious Growth Marketer to help build lead pipeline and revenue for a legal tech company. You’ll lead the charge on lead experiments, optimise marketing channels, and craft compelling content that drives awareness, engagement, and conversion. You'll experiment across channels, write content that converts, and use AI to move faster without sacrificing quality or taste. The Growth Challenge

Right now inbound traffic is decent. Channel performance is inconsistent. Website traffic converts somewhat, but not predictably into qualified leads or sales meetings. We're not looking for someone to "scale" what's already working, we're looking for someone to find what works and turn it into a repeatable engine. If you love zero-to-one growth and solving for revenue, you’ll thrive here.


What You’ll Do
  • Own acquisition experiments across organic, paid, social, and referral channels
  • Write high-converting content across formats (landing pages, paid ads, blog posts, emails, social, etc.)
  • Website conversion — optimise our site and landing pages to turn visits into meetings
  • Set up and analyse experiments to test messaging, targeting, and channels (across Google Ads, Linkedin & more)
  • Infuse AI tools(like ChatGPT or custom stacks to speed up content, research, and testing
  • Collaborate with a fractional head of marketing and VP of sales to align top of funnel growth, drive leads, messaging, and lead flows
  • Optimise performance through creative iteration, data insights, and lean tactics
  • Stretch every dollar—work like an operator, think like a founder
  • Revenue reporting — track what's working, what’s not, and what’s next (with the help of a fractional head of marketing)
  • There will be some boring aspects to the role too (I want to be clear about that), as with any lean company, you’ll need to do some website tinkering, posting on social media, and email marketing. So someone who isn’t precious about this would be most suited.

Resources you'll have: a head of marketing who is experienced in early-stage startups and product marketing, a web developer, and a design agency to help you scale.


You’ll Thrive If You
  • Have 2–4 years in growth marketing, marketing, or performance/digital marketing
  • Are a generalist who has some deeper skillsets in areas like growth & performance/digital
  • Are a strong writer who can adapt tone, structure, and CTAs to different channels
  • Know how to use HubSpot, GA4, LinkedIn Ads, Meta, run Google Display ads (this is a must).
  • Understand marketing funnels and how to move users through them
  • Love testing and iterating with speed and purpose
  • Use AI tools to increase productivity, speed, and creativity
  • Are highly resourceful, frugal, and experimental, you don’t need a big budget to make a big impact
  • Prefer startups, especially ones that are bootstrapped


Bonus Points
  • Experience with early-stage startups or building from zero
  • Data-literate — comfortable with metrics, attribution, and experimentation
  • Resourceful and cost-conscious — you know how to make $1 work like $10
  • Comfortable with early-stage ambiguity and wearing multiple hats
  • Comfortable in tools like HubSpot, google ads, Linkedin, Figma, and bonus if you know how to use AI well beyond ChatGPT.
  • Can bring ideas, not just execute briefs
  • Ideally Melbourne-based (or located in Australia)
