The Opportunity
Urbis has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Consultant to join our growing Heritage team in Perth! You will have the opportunity to work across a diverse, high profile, range of projects, leading expert quality written and verbal advice for our clients.
Acting as a trusted senior member of our Heritage team, you will be providing advice to clients on a range of projects including conservation management plans, heritage impact statements, interpretation plans, archival recording and architectural conservation documentation.
This is a full-time permanent position but there is flexibility to accommodate a work/life balance.

The Opportunity

Acting as a trusted senior member of our Heritage team, you will be providing advice to clients on a range of projects including conservation management plans, heritage impact statements, interpretation plans, archival recording and architectural conservation documentation.

You Will
- Lead and manage heritage projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Provide expert advice on heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, and heritage impact assessments.
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to business development activities, including client relationship management and proposal preparation.
- An undergraduate degree in heritage conservation, history, architecture, or a related field. Post graduate qualifications or extensive experience in heritage conservation is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in heritage consultancy, with a strong understanding of Western Australian heritage legislation and best practices.
- Proficient knowledge and ability to apply statutory heritage legislation from both the Heritage Act 2018 and the Planning and Development Act 2005
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare high quality written reports using Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative suite software.
- Some ability to use AutoCAD for architectural conservation documentation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
