Certificate IV Farrier Apprenticeship

Australian Training Company is seeking a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Farrier to join a team of Farriers at Warwick Farm. This is a full-time position (38 hours), with the opportunity to work on a diverse range of equine projects. As a Farrier, you will be responsible for the care and maintenance of horses’ hooves, ensuring their optimal health and performance.

What The Role Will Include

• Trimming, shaping and applying horseshoes to horses’ hooves supervised
• Diagnosing and treating hoof-related issues and lameness supervised
• Advising clients on hoof care and management
• Attending TAFE to complete Certificate IV in Farriery (Richmond)
• Collaborating with senior Farriers, veterinarians and other equine professionals
