Assurance Specialist

A brand-new opportunity has become available to join a major transformation initiative with a leading financial services organisation, based in Brisbane for a fixed-term role.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Assurance Analyst to ensure delivery excellence through effective governance, quality assurance, and risk oversight.

You’ll join a high-performing Transformation Office, working closely with delivery teams, governance leads, and risk and compliance stakeholders. Your focus will be on auditing key program activities, ensuring adherence to enterprise frameworks, and supporting project gating and decision-making processes.

This is an ideal role for someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the confidence to challenge and guide stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure program deliverables meet governance and compliance standards
• Support initiative and project gating reviews by validating mandatory artefacts and processes
• Identify opportunities for improvement and work with delivery teams to implement corrective actions
• Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations on assurance outcomes and recommendations
• Ensure comprehensive oversight of RAID items and broader governance documentation
• Collaborate with governance and risk stakeholders
• Monitor the impact and effectiveness of implemented assurance improvements
• Contribute to both internal and external assurance activities and frameworks

Key Skills Required:

• Previous experience working in an Assurance analyst role
• Solid understanding of risk and assurance functions within a transformation or delivery environment
• Proven ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and governance standards
• Collaborative and professional approach with high standards of delivery
• Experience within an Enterprise Project Management Office
• Exposure to large-scale transformation initiatives or integration programs
• Previous experience working for a financial organisation would be an asset
