Help Protect Road Workers with Next-Generation Safety Technology
At Acusensus, we’re on a mission to protect road workers and improve safety outcomes using intelligent, real-time technology. As a rapidly scaling Australian tech company with a global impact, we’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape the future of road safety.
This isn’t just another development job. You’ll be a foundational contributor to a greenfield product that brings together IoT, cloud, sensors, AI, and real-time data to protect workers in some of the most hazardous environments.
If you’re an experienced engineer who thrives on full-system thinking—from embedded hardware to cloud services—and wants your work to genuinely make a difference, we want to hear from you.
Who Are We
Founded in 2018, Acusensus is an ASX-listed Australian success story with offices in Australia, New Zealand, the US, and UK. We've built world-leading solutions to reduce road trauma caused by distracted driving and unsafe behaviours. Our mission is to save lives, and our values—Impact, Collaboration, Integrity, and Care—guide how we work and grow.
About The Role
Based in Melbourne CBD, you’ll be part of the Road Worker Safety (RWS) R&D team, reporting to a Lead Engineer. This position plays a crucial part in the business by providing technical leadership and supporting junior engineers, while actively contributing to the design, development, and deployment of a cutting-edge road safety system, ensuring it meets the highest standards for real-time hazard detection, worker protection, and automated safety insights.
This is not just another engineering role—it’s an opportunity to work on a truly greenfield project, giving you the chance to influence the architecture and foundational technology of a next-generation safety platform that will transform safety outcomes for road workers globally. Your work will directly support Acusensus’ global strategy, driving innovation in intelligent safety systems and contributing to a rapidly scaling international business.
What You’ll Do
At Acusensus, you’ll be working on life-saving technology that makes a real-world impact—protecting road workers and improving safety outcomes through intelligent infrastructure. You’ll be part of a mission-driven, values-led culture where your technical leadership and ideas will directly shape a next-generation safety platform.
We’re a fast-growing scale-up with a collaborative, zero-blame team environment and a strong commitment to engineering excellence. You'll have the opportunity to work across a greenfield system, from hardware integration to cloud automation, with support to grow your skills, lead initiatives, and make meaningful contributions.
We offer flexible hybrid working (Melbourne-based), genuine career progression, and a team that has your back.
If you're passionate about building impactful technology and great teams, join us and help make a difference. Apply now via acusensus.com.au/careers or this ad. Questions? Reach out to [email protected].
All candidates selected for appointment will undergo a series of checks before an employment offer is made. We will, of course, cover the cost.
