We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join our expanding team in Perth. This position will play a crucial role enhancing our portfolios within the Metals and Minerals EPCM sector and in particular, a key minerals project in SW Africa.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead to join our expanding team in Perth. This position will play a crucial role enhancing our portfolios within the Metals and Minerals EPCM sector and in particular, a key minerals project in SW Africa.
About The Role
- Lead a team of procurement professionals responsible for negotiating the best value for Ausenco, performing strategic analysis and decision-making to support the project execution plan
- Manage the procurement of machinery and equipment for projects, ensuring compliance to procurement schedules, tenderers lists, package lists and live project data while maintaining strict adherence to procurement procedures
- Support project initiatives by aligning with Engineering, Construction and Cost Control and providing direction in supplier evaluation, selection & management of purchasing and subcontract agreement negotiations, analytics, and pricing reviews
- Delegate appropriate responsibilities and assignments to team members
- Lead resource forecasting/allocation of procurement resources
- Contribute to ongoing system development and improvement to mature procurement tools
- Balance of client and team focus, bringing enthusiasm and innovation for continuous improvement
- Tertiary qualified Diploma/Degree in Business or technical field.
- Extensive experience in the management of procurement and contracting activities in an EPC and EPCM environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, including negotiation and relationship-building experience.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Proven experience in the use of Hexagon ERP system - SmartPlant Materials
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in the mining and minerals sector will be highly regarded.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to adapt to change
- Capable of leading the negotiations with Supplier/Contractors on finalizing the terms and conditions in coordination with Finance, Legal, Tax
