About The Role

We're on the hunt for an experienced Project Engineer to jump into our exciting Emu Plains Seniors Living Project. At Growthbuilt, you'll be a key player in steering project delivery—keeping everything on time, on quality, and on budget. Work side-by-side with our Project Manager, championing strategies and driving our pipeline of innovative projects forward. Ready to make an impact? Let’s build something amazing together!

Here's what a typical day might look like for you:

  • Lead the charge in developing and executing Inspection Test Plans (ITPs). Keep project quality standards on point, and craft innovative solutions when challenges arise.
  • Review subcontractor work onsite, double-check quality docs, and ensure everything complies.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design and coordination issues swiftly.
  • Manage the flow of technical info between design teams and stakeholders, keeping everyone on the same page.
  • Supervise the design team to ensure work aligns with timelines and docs.
  • Review outputs from consultants and subcontractors to make sure they meet the brief.
  • Check tender packages to verify scope, materials, and design logic all match up.
  • Assist the Project Manager with contract management and overall schedule monitoring, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

About You

You will bring a solid background in project engineering, with a knack for managing multiple moving parts and keeping everything on track. You’re detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills are a must, as you’ll be collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders. A passion for delivering quality work on time and within budget, paired with a proactive problem-solving attitude, will set you up for success in this dynamic role.

Essentials You'll Need For This Role

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management? Check!
  • 3-5 years post-grad experience in a top tier (T1-T3) engineering role? Even better!
  • You've tackled complex commercial, high-rise residential, or mixed-use projects - and you're ready to level up
  • With a keen eye for detail, top-notch time management, and stellar organisation skills, you're all set to make your mark

Rob - our fearless and deeply passionate Project Manager - Rob is an engineering expert, who loves to get into the nitty gritty. He is always down for a laugh and puts his team first. Get your skates on though - he moves fast! Rob enjoys camping and other adventures.

Dom - the Contracts Manager for the project - Dom has a sharp eye for detail, a love of negotiation, and a strong belief that even the driest of legal clauses can be handled with a smile. When he's not deep in contracts, you'll find Dom near the beach enjoying the sea breeze or on a bush walk with friends.
