Project Manager

Rarekind

Date: 1 week ago
City: Penrith, New South Wales
Contract type: Full time
You know how to deliver an industrial subdivision.

Not watch from the sidelines. Not lend a hand here or there.

Actually deliver.

Innovative? Dynamic? An environment where your technical skills and creativity can shine?

Ready to bring your industry experience into an uplifting team? A team who’s motivated and cheering each other on. You’ll be joining a direct team of 12, but in the wider business, 80 plus.

Based out of Penrith CBD, a brand-new office, all the facilities you could dream of. Ample parking, public transport facilities, cafes and shopping centres. You’re spoilt for choice. Also, who doesn’t love a 3pm knock-off every Friday!

About The Role

You’ll be at the forefront and playing a pivotal role in managing and coordinating all activities in line with land development and major infrastructure projects. Industrial subdivisions ideally. Big tick with some solid greenfield subdivision delivery too.

You’ll encompass everything from master planning and development applications through to the final handover of projects. Efficiency, timing and within budget. It’s a no brainer, right? You’ll hone in on your close liaison with clients, sub-consultants and all other stakeholders for that best outcome.

Financial record and timely invoicing won’t come new to you either. It’s important you’re maintaining this from start to end.

Upholding and promoting quality assurance comes with it naturally. But hey, with a solid team on your hands, it’s got to be front of mind. Especially performing day to day as a mentor to your grads or even your technical guidance towards Design Engineers across the business.

About You

Enthusiasm and willingness to learn. It’s that simple. Analytical, logical and methodical in your work. You take pride in what you do. You’ll be at the forefront, playing a crucial role in providing technical expertise.

You’ve led from early master planning right through to handover. You’ve wrangled sub-consultants, smoothed out client chaos, navigated councils and made it look effortless.

You’re someone with civil engineering roots and a track record in land development. Especially industrial and greenfield subdivisions. Residential, commercial? Sure. That’s useful too. But industrial is the sweet spot. This would probably sound like your last 2-3 years of experience.

You might be a Design Engineer with the industrial subdivision experience already. Maybe looking to take that leap into project management. Maybe you’re an Assistant Project Manager already, again, looking to take that leap.

You’ve got your head around budgets, programs, invoices and QA. Taking ownership from start to finish. You’re confident in your client interactions. Not just emails and spreadsheets. Real conversations and relationships.

You’ll also bring a degree in Civil Engineering or similar. A solid practical knowledge of construction methodologies, design principles and NSW statutory requirements.

Your new organisation

A trusted and highly respected partner in providing innovative Civil Engineering and Project Management services, for Land Development and Infrastructure projects is just a small snippet of who they are. It’s the people. The culture. The environment. They’ve built a strong reputation across the Greater Sydney region over the last 40 years.

As a land developer or Government client, they’ll have access to a complete range of services across strategic engineering, planning, project management, civil engineering design, stormwater management and more! To say you’ll have some pretty impressive colleagues and mentors is an understatement.

You’ll be working with a collaborative, forward-thinking team that values your contributions. Your career is front-of-mind, so growing in a role that offers leadership opportunities and technical challenges is the kind of environment you’ll get to enjoy.
