North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) consists of three Alliance partners – John Holland, KBR, MTM, V/Line and the client (LXRP), working together as one team to achieve shared goals.
Since 2017, NWPA has had a proven track record with the successful delivery of eight level crossing removal projects (17 LX) and several
premium stations, with three projects currently in delivery and two in development phase.

We are looking for Community, Stakeholder and Government Relations Advisor to join us.
About the Role;
Assist to develop and implement a stakeholder and community engagement program supporting the Project engagement objectives and Stakeholder & Communications Engagement Management Plan and related sub-plans, which a projects a strong and positive image of the project and the North Western Program Alliance to the community and stakeholders. Work with the project communications team to identify and manage stakeholder and community issues and provide advice to the project team on communications, community and stakeholder relations activities to enable successful project delivery.

Qualifications
Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) or certificate or relevant experience (Disciplines relevant to function area, e.g. public relations, journalism, stakeholder management, marketing)
Experience
Demonstrated experience in a strategic communications advise and services role
Multi-discipline experience, e.g. corporate communications, stakeholder relations, marketing communications
Experience in leading project or specialist function activities
Relevant experience gained within major organisations - relevant sector, government or consultancy

Responsibilities of the role include / What you will do
- Assist in the development of project sub-plans and procedures.
- Assist project team to identify stakeholder, community and trader issues and help develop strategies to minimise impacts.
- Ensure Project Owner expectations are fully understood and develop good working relationships with counterparts.
- Work with team to plan and manage contact with external stakeholders, the community and local traders in a way that enhances the reputation of the Alliance, the Project Owner, John Holland and organisation partners.
- Develop good working relationships with the project construction team to ensure activities are undertaken strategically, minimising impact and disruption to stakeholders and the community.
- Ensure Project Owner framework for communication and notification requirements are met. Provide advice and assistance to the construction teams on requirements as appropriate.
- Participate in site visits as required and ensure all visitors to the project have appropriate PPE and undergo relevant site inductions.
- Write a range of high-quality communication materials, including notifications, newsletter, advertising, social media posts and formal correspondence as well as coordinate residential doorknocks as appropriate.
- Manage responses to all project related communications matters including via phone, email, website and social media in line with agreed Project Owner framework.
- Assist with preparing presentations to stakeholder and community meetings, including Stakeholder Liaison Group and/or Community/Trader/Schools Reference Groups.
- Develop a range of project specific forums for stakeholders and the community including community forums, pop up information sessions or online engagement.
- Communicate community and stakeholder awareness and risk minimisation programs across the Project through inductions and toolbox presentations.
- Contribute to the identification of construction related risks and hazards with regards to stakeholders and the community.
- Assist to develop strategies to achieve best possible results with project KRA and KPI's and ISC rating.
- Maintain registers and ensure community and stakeholder activities are recorded appropriately and in line with agreed Project Owner framework.
- Provide information to input into project reporting cycles.
- Assist in the identification, development, and management of promotional opportunities for the project and its construction (i.e media, presentations, milestones etc)
- Participate and assist with activities undertaken by the wider NWPA and John Holland communications team as appropriate.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with Alliance policies, processes, systems, report and procedures.
- Participate or undertake other tasks as requested by the Project Communication & Stakeholder Engagement Manager.
