The opportunity

As an eCommerce Trade Manager, you'll be at the heart of our digital trading engine - optimising how we showcase our range to customers across the website and app. You’ll translate data and insights into action, and strategy into system configuration - creating personalised and highly engaging shopping experiences for pet parents

You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring our eCommerce strategy to life, personalise experiences, run experiments, and find new ways to drive digital performance. It’s a role for someone who is highly curious, loves to dig into data, and enjoys turning complexity into clarity - always with the customer in mind.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be the custodian of digital trading performance by leading the weekly business review of our eComm platforms — connecting the dots across customer, category, and pet performance to surface key insights and opportunities.
  • Translate company priorities into on-site execution, owning the setup and optimisation of site real estate, digital merchandising, and off-platform CRM levers to deliver the next best action for every pet parent.
  • Personalise the customer journey by configuring segmentation and algorithm rules that dynamically surface the right products and offers based on customer, pet, and behavioural attributes.
  • Champion continuous improvement through data-driven experimentation — designing and running A/B tests to optimise conversion, engagement, and the effectiveness of our digital assets.
  • Partner with internal teams across CRM, Category, Product, and Marketing to deliver cohesive campaigns, define retail media opportunities, and ensure all initiatives are aligned to customer and commercial goals.
  • Innovate with impact, identifying and trialling emerging tools like AI and machine learning to improve the relevance, scalability, and automation of how we trade online.
  • Own and evolve the ‘run’ function of our digital assets — ensuring day-to-day execution is seamless, measurable, and fuels stronger loyalty and lifetime value.

The ideal toolbox

  • A data-led mindset with the ability to integrate and interpret insights from multiple sources (e.g. GA, Amplitude, Looker, PowerBI) into clear trading actions.
  • Hands-on experience in optimising digital customer journeys through platform configuration, segmentation, and CRM or personalisation tools.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into execution, balancing commercial outcomes with customer experience.
  • A strong grasp of ecommerce levers and KPIs, with end-to-end ownership of performance metrics, experimentation frameworks, and A/B testing initiatives.
  • Experience working with third-party platforms and tooling like Shopify, CommerceTools, or Fullstory, and ideally retail media networks. Strategic thinking meets operational hustle — you can zoom out to define the roadmap and zoom in to manage execution.
  • Naturally curious and proactive, always exploring new ways to drive performance, improve relevance, and deliver value for pet parents.
  • Collaborative and confident in navigating cross-functional environments, bringing together CRM, product, buying, and marketing to deliver cohesive trade plans.
  • 4+ years experience in ecommerce trading, digital merchandising, CRM performance, or similar roles where you've directly influenced website/app performance.

Role location

We believe that building connections and collaborating as Pet Circlers is super important. So this role is based in Sydney with a hybrid arrangement of 3 days per week in our pet friendly offices (your pet might love coming to the office even more than you). This is subject to change in line with business requirements.
