The Role
This full-time position will see you working closely with the Finance Manager, providing essential support across day-to-day accounting functions. You will be responsible for transactional processing, reconciliations, and the timely reporting required by both internal stakeholders and external clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes across multiple entities.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and manage intercompany recharging.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Manage cost analysis and reporting.
- Generate and reconcile customer invoices and supplier rebates.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including employee reimbursements and business credit card management.
- Oversee payment runs with appropriate validation checks.
- Maintain supplier and customer data in accounting software.
- Reconcile customer invoicing and manage debtor reporting.
- Prepare consolidated debtor and payable reports for both external and internal stakeholders.
- Provide general finance support as required by the Finance Manager.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Have
- At least 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- A CPA or CA qualification or be currently working towards it.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective internal and external relationships.
- Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation abilities.
- Solid experience with Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, and other finance software systems.
- A collaborative, professional, and positive team attitude.
- Building industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
