Your New Role

The Member Fraud Specialist is responsible for investigating and managing suspicious activity cases that relate to member accounts, including allegations of Member Fraud.

This role will utilise investigative and empathetic communication skills and apply a comprehensive approach to managing fraud cases in accordance with the Fund's fraud and risk management framework and supporting policies.

The role includes engagement with fraud victims, law enforcement and other third parties to ensure the fair resolution of fraud matters.

Key responsibilities include;

  • Working with potential victims of fraud to investigate suspicious transactions
  • Providing reassurance, education, and fraud prevention strategies to victims of fraud
  • Collaborate with banks, law enforcement and other third parties or internal departments to resolve fraud cases
  • Guide the compromised member through account recovery where possible
  • Record all cases in the Fund's Incident Management system in accordance with agreed policies and procedures
  • Produce clear, concise and considered compensation requests that align to Fund procedures
  • Oversee remediation activities with the Fund administrator in relation to fraud events

What You'll Need

  • High-level customer service experience within a contact centre environment
  • Solid superannuation industry experience
  • AML, financial crime or fraud experience
  • A genuine desire to assist members with professionalism and empathy
  • The ability to handle difficult and confronting situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • RG146 highly regarded
