About The Role
The AML First Manager - Due Diligence & Screening will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives impacting Financial Crime Operations (FCO) meet their objectives and deliver business benefits, including changes to FCO business processes, systems and technology, roles and organisation structures. The primary responsibility will be to represent FCO and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the design development and implementation of change initiatives by the AML Project, to ensure BOQ is compliant with its AML/CTF obligations.
The role will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilisation and greater proficiency of the changes that impact FCO to increase benefit realisation, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and AML Project’s outcomes centred around customer onboarding, Know your Customer (KYC), Screening, KYC remediation, Ongoing Customer Due Diligence (OCDD) including KYC Refresh, and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence (ECDD).
This role is a 9 month Max Term Contract.

About You
- Deep understanding of Financial Crime Operations processes.
- Multiple years working and operating in a regulated AML/CTF environment experience, with a background in roles delivering sustainable change programs across enterprise organisations relating to people and processes.
- Ability to lead an operations team, managing people, internal SLAs, and WIPs.
- High level knowledge customer onboarding, KYC, KYC remediation, OCDD and/or ECDD.
- Strong experiene with screening and list management.
- Experience in stakeholder management and influencing, managing within all levels of an organisation.
- Working knowledge in a financial services environment or a similar multifaceted organisation.
- Experience in the delivery of complex change programs through the application of change frameworks.
- Exposure to different project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle.
