Responsibilities
- You ensure that visual assets can be easily integrated into the game engine without sacrificing visual quality.
- You understand how gameplay and architecture issues can affect content creation and can successfully set up, develop, and maintain workflows to compensate for such limitations.
- You are charged with investigating new techniques and implementing them to ensure the creative vision can be developed effectively and efficiently.
- You will recognize inefficiencies and issues in existing pipelines and identify solutions.
- Advanced artistic ability and/or technical expertise in several related art disciplines.
- Knowledge of various rendering techniques including but not limited to normal and specular maps, particle systems and pixel shaders.
- Sound knowledge of prototyping tools to create and convey visual concepts and effects.
- In-depth knowledge of graphic, 3D modelling, and animation software applications.
- Competent in various scripting and object-oriented software languages such as JavaScript, ActionScript, C#, C++, Java, and Lua.
- Strong communication skills
- Gaming industry experience highly regarded.
- Sound knowledge of software development IDE/tools and art software including Photoshop, After Effects, Maya, 3DS Max, Modo, or other 3D authoring software.
- Advanced in-depth knowledge of multiple aspects of IGT's products that relate to art and animation and their technical design infrastructure.
- Experience with full software development cycle and art workflow.
