About the Role
We are seeking experienced Underground Shotfirers to join our high-performing teams across Australia. These are permanent, full-time positions offering the opportunity to work on major underground mining projects with a company that values innovation, safety, and career development.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, work with cutting-edge blasting technologies, and learn from some of the most skilled professionals in the industry.
Location Flexibility:
Preference is for DIDO, but FIFO will be considered from the East Coast of Australia, ACT, Victoria, and South Australia.
What You Will Be Doing
- First and foremost, demonstrating and setting the example of our key company value: 'Safety is our Priority, Always';
- Shotfiring duties including magazine management, managing the loading, tying and firing of blasts, following drill and blast designs;
- Providing leadership and direction to the blast crew;
- Assisting with the training and mentoring of new team members;
- Working in tight unison with all blast crew teammates to provide an excellent service to our valued customers;
- At all times acting with integrity and respect.
What you bring
- A positive team-orientated work ethic;
- A current or recent Australian Shotfiring licence. (Tunnel would be highly regarded);
- 2-3 years' experience working as a Shotfirer within mining, infrastructure or quarrying (underground experience is preferred but experience surface shotfirers are encouraged to apply).
- Security Clearance (UHL);
- Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical;
- A strong commitment to safety.
