Excellent opportunity for an Associate Engineer, who will provide technical support in enabling and maintaining reliable and efficient Governance Risk & Compliance platforms for Technology Finance Risk CIB Data team within CIO Corporate and Institutional Banking!

As an Associate Engineer, you will be joining Edge team within Personal Banking that’s doubling down on customer obsession.

As Associate Engineer, you will

  • Assist with the delivery and ongoing maintenance of the existing Governance Risk & Compliance platform in collaboration with analysts, engineers, project managers, SMEs
  • Perform daily operational checks and reconciliation
  • Continually look for opportunities to uplift existing processes and control environment including automation, reconciliation and documentation and drive delivery of initiatives.
  • Assist in responding to queries from external and internal auditors, Enterprise controls, management including subsidiaries.

What you will bring:

  • Functional & Technical knowledge to build and deliver solutions to meet complex operational risk current and future business requirements.
  • Some understanding of group risk management, controls and standard operating procedures framework, with particular focus on end to end operational risk and regulatory reporting.
  • Some knowledge of operational risk and regulatory reporting processes and controls, and ability to apply them within the context of enterprise technology policies and procedures.
  • Languages – Good level of proficiency in at least one programming language including Python.
  • Tools/applications – Excellent working knowledge of enterprise applications including Confluence, Rally, GITHub, Artifactory, Jenkins and Sharepoint.
  • ETL – Good understanding of ETL concepts, including use of APIs to retrieve/send data from/to other systems/applications.
  • CI/CD – Good understanding of CI/CD concepts and working knowledge of building pipelines using at least one automation tool.
