About this Position The Production Manager, reporting to the Site Manager, is a key member of the site leadership team responsible for safe, efficient, and high-quality order fulfilment in line with local and corporate standards. This role drives performance through process safety, team development, digital tools, and KPI optimization, while coordinating cross-functionally to support business continuity and operational excellence.

- Lead daily production operations to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality order fulfilment in compliance with site and corporate standards.
- Drive a culture of safety and performance by enforcing process safety protocols and SHEQ compliance across all production activities.
- Manage, develop, and motivate production teams to enhance skills, ownership, and high performance through structured training and competency programs.
- Utilize digital tools such as Process Control and Data Acquisition to collect, analyse, and act on data for performance optimization and continuous improvement.
- Champion Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency across production operations.
- Maintain accurate, accessible process documentation including Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, Management of Change, and best practices to support compliance and consistency.
- Monitor and optimize key KPIs such as Safety, Universal Product Code, Right First Time, Overall Labor Effectiveness, and Schedule Adherence to meet site and business targets.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support site initiatives, represent production concerns, and ensure continuity during changes or new product introductions.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the process industry, with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Strong background in chemical environments, with proven experience in health, safety, sustainability, and quality compliance.
- Demonstrated people management skills, including leadership of both professional staff and unionized workforces.
- Proficient in data analysis for informed decision-making, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
- Certified or trained in Lean Manufacturing principles, with a continuous improvement mindset.
