The Role


  • Responds to current industrial relations issues and priorities by providing high level strategic policy advice and information to the Minister and other stakeholders.
  • Prepares Western Government submissions to industrial relations tribunals and consultation processes and responses to International Labour Organization matters.
  • Represents the Government and Department on cross-government groups, inter-jurisdictional reform projects and in other forums.
  • Works with private sector unions and employer groups on private sector award reform matters.
