Anglicare Victoria has delivered an organisation wide central After Hours service since 2019. Our inaugural Program Manager is retiring and so a fantastic opportunity is now available for you to step into their shoes and build upon the fantastic outcomes they achieved.

The team you will lead provides an out of business hours crisis response across the organisation for programs including, but not limited to: Residential Care, Home Based Care, Targeted Care Packages, Lead Tenant, Youth Refuge, Village 21 and our Sibling Support Program. The service provides high quality risk assessment, advocacy, and will coordinate and manage any complex issues which arise.


The day to day:

  • Effectively lead and manage your team alongside another Team Leader.
  • Provide day-to-day support, advice and coaching to your team in respect of the development of individuals and the collective team.
  • Regularly catch up with your manager to discuss actions, progress and improvements.
  • Monitor performance targets, outcomes, quality standards in service agreements, legislative and policy requirements.
  • Ensure the service delivered by afterhours service support Program delivery within the regions.
  • Ensure appropriate Training and Development Plans are in place for all employees.

Key skills:

  • Highly developed skills in risk assessment and responding to and managing complex, high risk and crisis situations across statutory and other services.
  • High level understanding and extensive operational experience working in the child protection, placement and support services, Out of Home Care service systems.
  • Recruitment of a dynamic, highly skilled workforce.
  • Working in a dynamic, crisis driven, emergency response environment.
  • Roster management.
  • People management in a complex team that works remotely and after hours.
  • Ability to lead, manage and motivate staff and create a workplace culture based on cooperation, teamwork and common pursuit of organisational objectives.
  • Maintain high standards in a high risk environment.
