Airfield Standards Coordinator - Hybrid

This new and exciting role will work within the Airfield team, supporting and coordinating activities in a highly regulated safety-sensitive working environment. Core duties will include Document Control meeting regulatory standards, Systems Administration in support of Airfield Standards, and working in a dynamic environment prioritizing Safety and Compliance.

Our Aviation team plays a critical role in delivering safe, efficient, and forward-thinking airfield operations that support the airport’s continued growth and connection to the world, and we’re currently on the lookout for an Airfield Standards Coordinator to join our team.
This role will be instrumental in helping us implement a refreshed document control management system for the airfield, ensuring we meet regulatory obligations and continuously improve how we manage our critical documentation.

Key responsibilities:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the upkeep and accuracy of over 200 airfield documents, ensuring compliance with CASA MoS 139, Part 175, and associated regulatory frameworks.
- Support the implementation of a new document management suite for Airfield Operations, bringing your subject matter expertise in document control.
- Collaborate across airfield teams to ensure documentation changes are well-managed, communicated, and aligned to operational needs.
- Proactively monitor regulatory changes and support timely updates to relevant documentation, keeping Melbourne Airport compliant and future-ready.
- Ensure all documentation changes follow the Management of Change (MoC) process as required.
- Maintain clear file structures and improve accessibility to key documents, including SOPs, Airfield Design, and Works-related outputs.
- Support the Airfield Standards Manager with document-related workstreams, project activity, and risk or MoC sessions.
The successful candidate will have:
You’re detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrive in a structured, safety-critical environment. You bring strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to everything you do. You’ll ideally have:
- A solid understanding of Airfield Operations and relevant regulatory obligations.
- Knowledge of CASA MoS 139, Part 175, and associated standards.
- Strong technical writing and documentation management experience.
- Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office tools.
- Change management experience or comfort working in evolving environments.
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.
