About The Role

A business critical role with a global FMCG / Retail organisation currently exists in order to fill a key role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Financial Accountants' position will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities on both a domestic and international scale. Initially this will be a 6 month fixed-term contractual assignment, however there is the opportunity for this role to be extended and/or made permanent.

The Responsibilities

Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

  • Management of the full accounting and month-end processes
  • Business partner with key divisional teams on financial results
  • Monthly overhead analysis and commentary
  • Assist with accounting and reporting queries and ensure all transactions are complete and accurate
  • Monitor company cashflow and assist in preparing reporting for both actual and projected cashflow
  • Labour accounting including site-level labour costs, employee provisions, commission calculations, bonus schemes and business associate program.
  • Accounting for trade debtors
  • Assist with the external audit process and preparation of schedules
  • Drive continuous improvement across the ERP system, reporting, process and efficiency

The successful applicant will have

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, proven indirect / direct people management experience and have worked in a large-scale FMCG / Retail organisation that has a 'multi-site / multi-channel' aspect.
