The opportunity
This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join ahighly supportive, well-established team reporting to the Principal Business Analyst, Product & Programs and can be based out of Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, or Adelaide. The role requires demonstrated communication and stakeholder management skills and the ability to navigate conflict resolution while providing real solutions and the desire to consistently deliver outstanding results.

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-day
- Work with business representatives to elicit, document and validate common understanding of detailed business requirements.
- Define a stakeholder engagement approach for the business analysis work to be undertaken to ensure right expectation setting with stakeholders. Work with project, change management where applicable.
- Perform current and future state analysis to identify gaps, inform solution design and help develop solutions that meet business needs and/or improve business processes.
- Ensure that impacts to technical and business operations due to change are analysed, understood, and articulated, risks are assessed and raised with project management.
- Utilise analytical tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from data sets. May also generate reports and dashboards to support decision making processes.
- Develop functional, solution requirements and validate if solutions that are designed meet these requirements.
- Support the development, refinement and prioritisation of technical requirements/user stories when required, working with technical analysts and/or developers.
- Establish Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholder groups, serving as a liaison point to ensure clear understanding of business needs, objectives, and requirements and faithful representation of these when collaborating with other teams.
- Enable user acceptance testing planning, coordination, and support testing activities.
- Work with change management/project management to enable technical and business operational handover activities.
- Identify, track and report on BA activity status, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Act as an SME for the BA function on assigned process areas and support the BA practice in ensuring consistent and quality outcomes.
- Support/Mentor junior/mid-level BAs as part of working on initiatives and/or support the BA practice to develop skills and experience in the team.
- Minimum 5 years' ex perience as a Business Analyst within the Telecommunications industry.
- Minimum 5 + years’ experience as a Business Analyst/Senior Business Analyst in projects/programs is essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of both business and technical requirements in large/complex projects/programs, providing solutions effectively.
- Ability to independently and proactively execute responsibilities of the role.
- Hands on experience developing visual representations, at various levels of detail for varied audiences.
- Experience working with tools like Lucid or Visio and process mapping techniques such as BPMN, context diagrams, customer journey mappings and other similar.
- Exposure to and Experience with Telecom value chain processes (Sales, Delivery, Assurance, Billing) desirable.
- Experience working with platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow or similar CRM, Billing, Digital platforms desirable.
- Ability to facilitate large workshops involving a variety of Business and IT stakeholders.
- Ability to confidently communication and negotiate with stakeholders at various levels of the business and to drive positive outcomes.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), documentation, and time management skills.
- Ability to effectively follow up and track information.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritise conflicting demands.
- Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile.
- Ability and flexibility to rapidly learn new methodologies and technologies.
- A proactive approach, showing initiative and pragmatism.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, sharing ideas and encouraging others to participate, coupled with a collaborative and a transparent approach to people interactions.
