The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) lead the sustainable development of Western Australia’s regions and agriculture, aquaculture, food and fisheries sectors. In everything we do, we take an approach to protect, grow and innovate WA’s economy, community and environment.
We have recently restructured and are recruiting to newly created roles within our Talent and Job Design Team. There are three permanent positions available for immediate filling, with access to flexible working arrangements:
Manager Talent and Job Design, Level 7
Managing our Talent and Job Design team, you will be responsible for the delivery of a highly responsive, strategic, customer and solutions-focused talent acquisition, recruitment and job design service for the Department.
You will oversee the planning, development and delivery of contemporary talent acquisition, recruitment, selection, appointment and job design/classification processes, strategies and tools, that enable organisational high performance.
For this role we are looking for:
- Experience leading and managing a customer focussed talent acquisition service, with particular proficiency in monitoring performance metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
- Well developed knowledge and understanding of the WA public sector position classification framework
Talent and Job Design Advisor, Level 4 (2 positions)
You will be supporting hiring managers to attract talent and undertake robust and timely recruitment, selection and appointment processes.
You will advise, develop and review Job Description Forms and coordinate the review and approval of position classification reports in line with the Public Sector Commissioner’s Instructions.
For these roles we are looking for:
- Demonstrated ability to provide a customer-focused, responsive recruitment and job design service, with a particular focus on delivering high-quality advice and support to business clients.
- Experience in WA public sector job design and classification assessment.
