We are currently seeking a dedicated Production & Warehouse Lead to join our team located in Warrnambool, Victoria. The Production & Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of AGSEA’s manufacturing and warehouse facility. The role ensures that production targets are met, inventory is effectively managed, and finished goods are despatched in line with customer and business requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a solid understanding of production processes, warehouse coordination, and staff supervision. The successful applicant will work closely with supply chain, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards. While the position offers autonomy and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, it is well-supported by a dedicated team across both the operational and administrative sides of the business. Production Operations
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily blending, bagging, and packaging processes
- Ensure production is carried out in accordance with the master schedule
- Verify execution of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and track yield, waste, and material usage
- Monitor and maintain accurate batch documentation and traceability records
- Liaise with Quality Assurance to facilitate testing and release of finished goods
- Escalate non-conformances or operational issues as required
- Supervise plant equipment condition and coordinate required maintenance
- Oversee the receival, storage, and despatch of raw materials and finished goods
- Maintain accurate warehouse inventory and documentation of goods in/out
- Optimise warehouse space and ensure materials are efficiently staged for production
- Coordinate truck loading, pallet preparation, and despatch activities in line with delivery deadlines
- Ensure warehouse and storage areas meet safety and cleanliness standards
- Maintain up-to-date records of all stock items, including raw materials and finished products
- Participate in scheduled and ad hoc stocktakes
- Support coordination of stock movement to and from offsite storage facilities
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
- Work with Supply Chain and Procurement to align raw material and packaging availability with production schedules
- Prepare and stage materials in advance of production runs
- Monitor supply of production consumables (e.g. packaging, PPE, pallets) and raise requisitions as needed
- Supervise production and warehouse staff, assigning tasks and managing workflows
- Support training and development of operational personnel
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Production schedule adherence and output quality
- Inventory accuracy and stock availability
- Timeliness and accuracy of despatch activities
- Compliance with WHS and QA procedures
- Staff performance and operational team efficiency
- Demonstrated experience in production or operations management, preferably in agriculture, food or related manufacturing sectors
- Previous exposure to start-up or commissioning environments is advantageous
- Valid forklift licence and hands-on experience with warehouse equipment
- Sound understanding of quality management systems, WHS and inventory control
- Proven ability to lead and manage operational teams in a dynamic environment
- Strong planning, organisational, and communication skills
