Your New Role

  • Liase with and work under the direction of a Registered Nurse
  • Report and escalate changes in a patients’ condition and take necessary action
  • Provide care and work in partnership with consumers, patients and where applicable carers and families
  • Ensure all patients, residents, families, clients, visitors and staff are treated with respect, dignity and courtesy
  • Participate in delegated care relating to patients' activities of daily living, ensuring that the personal needs, dignity, and comfort of patients are maintained
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across all RMH teams

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Nursing program or equivalent (i.e. Master of Nursing) with demonstrated satisfactory completion of no less than 12 months of the Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent (credit or above for all subjects)
  • Commitment to live the Melbourne Way - putting people first, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together
  • Have completed at least one clinical placement
  • Be able to provide a transcript showing successful completion of the first year of the qualification in which you are enrolled
  • Ability to work AM/PM/ND shifts across a 7-day rotating roster (around clinical placements)
  • Must be available to work 4 shifts per fortnight
