About the Role:
We are looking for a diligent, thorough and self-motivated Contracts and Legal Officer who is great with detail and process to support the Contracts, Legal and Tenders functions of Converge International. The role will be a key part in supporting our daily operations and be a part of important decision making for our future business.
Reporting into the General Manager Legal, you will be responsible for bringing greater efficiency to Tender and Contract Management processes; contracts data quality and control and identifying potential contractual risks for the organisation.

Responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the end-to-end lifecycle of procurement and contract management which includes pre-contract, post-contract and legal support
• Overseeing governance for pre-contractual activities including reviewing tender documents through the procurement cycle
• Managing procurement & contracts activities to support delivery, including efficient recording of agreement KPIs and SLAs
• Coordinating and overseeing Contracts including related documentation, administration and variation processes
• Involvement in development of risk & assurance frameworks, including due diligence processes, policies, processes and guidelines and reports
• Work in conjunction with Finance and Legal teams to ensure commercial and legal risks are understood and effectively mitigated
• Identify process improvements to provide recommendations to key stakeholders during all parts of the lifecycle including legal agreements
• Supporting stakeholders and clients (internal and external) to a high standard
About you:
• Previous experience in contract management and project management in a medium to large organisation
• Experience working with contractual documentation, experience managing end-to-end procurement and contracting lifecycle
• In-depth understanding of interpreting contract law and procurement regulations to be able to effectively advise on contract terms and conditions
• Strong attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
• Highly developed organisation skills, with the ability to effectively manage a changing workload and deliver high quality outcomes against deadlines
• Ability to manage client (internal and external) requests to a high standard
• Demonstrate flexibility consistent with business requirements, including occasionally working additional hours and receiving communication outside ordinary working hours as required
• Strong administration and systems skills with a desire to learn new systems and continuously develop skills
• A positive contributor to team culture
• Government procurement and contract management experience would be highly advantageous
