APS5 Paralegal

We are seeking Paralegal professionals at the APS5 level. The ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and should be equipped with robust written and verbal communication.

Labour Hire | 6 Month Contract | Canberra , ACT

Position Description

• Conducting legal research, analysis, and preparing reports on relevant legal issues.
• Drafting straightforward legal correspondence and documents for review by senior legal staff.
• Providing assistance on legal matters led by senior lawyers, and managing routine matters with appropriate supervision.
• Reviewing evidence and applying relevant laws to develop well-reasoned legal conclusions or compelling arguments, under guidance.
• Organising and maintaining a comprehensive repository of external legal advice.
  
  

Key Capabilities

• A law degree or current progress toward completion is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage and engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues through collaboration, negotiation, and teamwork.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  
  

Position Requirements / Qualifications

• Baseline Clearance.
• Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check.
• A law degree or current progress toward completion is highly desirable.
