The NTEU is looking for a committed and experienced Education and Training Officer to lead the delivery of education and training across our union. Based in our National Office in South Melbourne, this full-time, ongoing position plays a vital role in developing the skills and capacity of union members, activists, and staff across the country.
This is a role for someone who wants to build the collective strength of workers. You'll help shape the content, strategy, and impact of union education at the NTEU, with a focus on building organising skills and campaign effectiveness. The role may involve some interstate travel and weekend work.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deliver effective union education and training for staff, activists, and members
- Create high-quality training materials and resources tailored to campaign and organising needs
- Provide strategic support and advice to staff and leaders on union education
- Work closely with colleagues across the NTEU to embed education in broader organising and industrial strategies
You will bring:
- Experience developing and delivering training programs, especially in a union or campaign setting
- Strong understanding of union organising and commitment to union values
- Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a national team

- Salary range: $123,498 - $136,349 (Level 7, NTEU National Staff Agreement)
