The Salary range is currently $32.25 to $33.31per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.

: Fair Haven Aged Care is located in a semi-rural part of Hervey Bay, on 40 beautiful acres offering cool breezes, walking paths and abundant birdlife. The vibrant beach side town has everything you need with alfresco cafes, shops, parklands, picnic areas and local medical services only a short drive away.

About the Role

Fairhaven Residential Aged Care is seeking dedicated and qualified Personal Care Workers to join our team to work 20 – 35 hours per fortnight. This role involves assisting elderly clients to live safely and with dignity while promoting their well-being and autonomy. We are looking for individuals who are committed to supporting our residents in a way that ensures they feel comfortable and respected in their home.


In this varied role, your day-to-day tasks may include:


  • Participating in the development and review of resident/client care plans, including completing charting and reporting any observed changes of a resident's health to the Registered Nurse;
  • Undertaking and completing a number of different tasks, as delegated by the Registered Nurse;
  • Maintain the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives and staff, and ensuring that all interactions are treated confidentially;
  • Support and assist in the provision of a comfortable, safe and secure environment.

Personal Care workers in this position will be assisting residents in daily living activities that meet their individual physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs. You will enjoy taking time to build relationships with our residents and getting to know them to provide the best possible care. You are a positive, reliable individual who works well with others and are happy to support your fellow team members.


To be suitable for the position, ideally you have:

  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or Individual Support;
  • Demonstrated solid experience in Aged Care;
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts, across a 7-day week;
  • Current National Police Certificate or the ability to obtain.
