Test Automation Lead – 12-Month Contract

Location: Melbourne – Geelong or Richmond (Onsite/Hybrid)
Eligibility: Australian Citizens only (Must be able to obtain Baseline Security Clearance)
Contract: 12 months
Rate: $600/day + Super

We’re looking for a Test Automation Lead to join a major Federal Government client in Melbourne. You’ll lead a team of testers, drive automation using Playwright, and work closely with CI/CD pipelines in a GitLab environment.

Must have Skills:

• Experience leading test teams in enterprise environments
• Strong automation skills (Playwright, BDD, Gherkin)
• CI/CD integration (Git, GitLab)
• Test planning, execution, and stakeholder reporting
• Excellent communication and leadership

Nice to Have:

• Agile testing experience
• Coaching and mentoring skills
• Knowledge of accessibility standards
• Experience in government or large-scale digital projects

Due to the nature of the work, Australian Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
