Lead Educator | Ocean Grove

Journey Early Learning is seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and experienced Lead Educator to join our Ocean Grove team in providing a safe and stimulating environment which meets the social, cultural, emotional, educational and physical needs of the children and encourages parent and community participation.

Centre Overview:
Caring for up to 116 children (6 weeks to 6 years old), Journey Ocean Grove is beautifully designed with spacious indoor and outdoor areas, lush gardens, and creative play spaces. It’s the perfect place to foster curiosity and learning.

About the role:
This is a Permanent part-time opportunity across Monday to Friday.

As our Lead Educator, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and educational experiences for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure a high level of health & safety standards are maintained at all times

Lead, develop and implement engaging, high-quality educational programs

Mentor and support educators to plan and deliver meaningful learning experiences.

Overseeing and approving centre Storypark posts

Foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration and creativity

Provide constructive feedback to educators to promote continuous improvement and a culture of positive change

Collaborate with families to ensure each child’s learning journey is supported and enrich

About you:
You are a creative and inspired early childhood educator with a passion to lead and develop age specific programs and daily routines. You will be a collaborative member of the team, working to build strong relationships with Educators, children, and families.

Key skills and requirements:
Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or actively studying towards one.

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis Certificates

Current Child Protection Training Certificate, or willingness to obtain.

Approved working with children Check (state specific)

Demonstrated passion for nurturing the next generation of learners

Experience in leading curriculum development with a focus on play-based learning and holistic education

Strong written communication and literacy skills, with the ability to document and communicate educational progress effectively

An ability to provide feedback that fosters professional growth and a positive team culture

High-level time management skills to effectively balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

A collaborative mindset, committed to working as part of a community of learners
