Senior Store Designer

Foodco is an industry leader in food franchising, with household names such as Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue and close to 500 locations throughout Australia, NZ, Asia, the UAE and the UK.

We are looking for a creative, confident and proactive Senior Interior Designer to join Foodco’s in house Design & Delivery Team.

Your primary responsibilities will be to develop and maintain the design standards for Foodco’s existing and future brands through innovative initiatives. You will design, document and manage Foodco’s branded stores including new stores and refurbishments to open stores on time and within budget. You will be responsible for all design phases from concept design through to Tender and Construction documentation. 

Other responsibilities will include:

• Developing innovative design solutions that define the physical experience, brand image, and business strategy solutions for Foodco.
• Adapting store designs to meet evolving operational needs.
• Researching benchmarks, our competition, and market trends to develop trend-right design response strategies.
• Create designs that consider efficient construction methods and budget requirements.
• Coordinating and encouraging collaboration with other departments.
• Presenting and communicating design initiatives to key stakeholders.
• Liaise with Landlords to gain Design approvals.

To be considered for this role you will require:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role with a background in Retail/ hospitality design.
• Exposure to franchising is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and leadership skills at a senior level.
• Experience in coordinating Design approvals with Retail Design Managers.
• Creative approach to problem resolution.
• Highly influential with a collaborative style.
• Ability to positively influence others or build consensus.
• A sound knowledge of drafting/ design, proficient in REVIT, Enscape, Adobe suite and Microsoft Office. Additional AutoCAD skills will be a bonus.
• An understanding of local council requirements such as health and planning/ building requirements. 
• Ensure compliance such as work health & safety provisions, communicating compliance and risk management to relevant parties.
• Formal qualifications in Interior Design or Architecture.
• A driver’s license and the ability to travel locally & interstate
