About The Role

An exciting, business-critical role with a multinational industry-leading organisation currently exists in order to fill a key, senior leadership role in their finance team. Taking a hands-on approach, this Senior Finance Manager role will help assist in the management and communication of the companies’ financial & corporate accounting activities. This role is pivotal to providing financial oversight over the Australian operations of the organisation; focusing on ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the financial results of each site.

The Responsibilities

Reporting directly into the CFO, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);

  • Drive the timely completion of month-end accounting and reporting for the Australian region with the support of the team
  • Business partnering cross-functionally to drive the timely completion of the annual budgets for each site
  • Coach, develop and grow a high-peforming team to further develop existing capabilities and technical knowledge
  • Support the CFO on any other business development opportunities as required
  • Timely completion of all tax-related cycles and the annual tax return process
  • Prepare regular cashflow forecasts to ensure that there is sufficient cash reserves to support growth CAPEX and working capital
  • Understand key drivers of the revenue and costs to derive a 'driver-based' budget
  • Complete all required supplementary reporting as required
  • Review commerciality of existing supplier relationships and review procurement opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems, reporting, process and efficiency

The successful applicant will have

Ideally, you will be a CA/CPA qualified accounting professional and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as your ability to interact and engage cross-functionally within the business will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy being hands-on with the work and have worked in a complex, dynamic and fast-paced organisation previously.
