Your Role
We are currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Support Engineer to join our NRMA Customer Loyalty Program (CLP) team! The Customer Loyalty Program helps to build on our already strong customer base by recognising them, rewarding them, and helping them engage in safety-driven tasks to make their world safer.
You’ll be a key member of our CLP Operations team providing day-to-day operational support, identifying opportunities to analyse, optimise and automate the stable operation of the Customer Loyalty Platform, and working cross-functionally with teams as we transform and build the platform in line with our strategic priorities. You'll also support group wide capabilities Customer Identity and Access Management (Okta), Payments, and Consent & Data Privacy.
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid understanding of IT Service Operations processes (Incident, Problem and Change) and tools be able to use programs such as ServiceNow, New Relic, and Splunk. Knowledge of modular programming (API, microservices), DevOps and cloud technologies are also key.
This is a permanent role, and we welcome applicants from Naarm (Melbourne) and Gadigal Country (Sydney).

About You
- Solid experience in DevOps, SRE or a related field
- Experience working on customer facing platforms providing operational support (customer loyalty applications would be advantageous although not mandatory)
- Understanding of and use of IT Service Operations processes (Incident, Problem and Change) and tools, ServiceNow and ServiceNow reporting.
- Experience of monitoring tools and relevant search queries for detailed analysis
- Splunk (3+ years hands-on experience creating complex alerts and complex dashboards, troubleshooting logs to investigate issue, and REGEX Splunk SQLs & ad-hoc Splunk data extract)
- New Relic (2+ years hands-on experience configuring synthetics monitoring, alert policies, alert conditions, and dashboards, SLO and troubleshooting)
- PowerShell
- Postman / Insomnia
- GitHub / Bamboo
- SQL skills (PostgreSQL)
- Change Management Process
- Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools (bamboo, docker, rancher)
- Understanding of authentication and authorisation technologies e.g. Okta, auth0
- API gateway knowledge (we use Apigee)
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) and containerised architecture and applications (Kubernetes)
- Implemented continuous improvement and recommendations for best practice
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
