Technical Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Implementation of new functions within the existing Okta platform and the associated services.

• Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, ensuring effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Assist in the smooth handover from the current team leader to the incoming team leader, ensuring minimal disruptions to operations.

• Conduct and/or assist in the reporting of technical elements pertinent to projects.

• Collaborate effectively with project managers, program managers, and support teams.

• Provide technical advice and guidance to the operational support teams.

Qualifications / Accreditations:

• Technical qualifications related to IAM (for example, Okta Certified Professional or Azure Identity & Access Administrator).

Skills:

• Expertise in Centralized IAM solutions such as Okta, Ping ID, and Entra ID.

• Experience with directory services like Active Directory or similar.

• Proficiency in multi-factor authentication systems.

• Knowledge of passwordless authentication services.

• Comprehensive understanding of standards and protocols, including SAML, OAuth, WS- FED, OpenID Connect, Kerberos, and SCIM.

• Proficient in scripting and automation tools, such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.

• Competence in technical writing and documentation.

• Ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.

• Experience in training and mentoring IAM administrators on best practices.

Experience:

• At least three years of experience working directly within an IAM team (or equivalent) as a technical specialist.

• Experience in large-scale IAM projects.

Nice to have:

• Served as a key technical resource on an IAM platform that has integrated with multiple systems of record (sources of truth).

• Experience within an IAM team in the Financial Services sector.

• Implemented Okta Fastpass or Managed Device Policies.

• Experience with mergers, acquisitions or demergers of an Identity solution.
