The Why


The Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and driving Ubank’s home loan strategy to deliver on the overarching strategic agenda. To achieve this the Strategy Manager will be required to analyse, prioritise, and deliver new initiatives that align to the strategy.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the Home Loan Leadership Team and Ubank’s Executive Committee to define the strategy plan, including through the provision of thought leadership.
  • Define the strategic roadmap for home loans based on the Ubank’s strategy, customer needs, and a deep understanding of customer needs and market conditions.
  • Lead the home loan strategic roadmap prioritisation and execution, aligning delivery and business teams to effectively prioritise on a quarterly basis.
  • Develop and deliver high value strategic programs of work from diagnostic and scoping through to execution, these may include the introduction of new capabilities or formation of partnerships.
  • Ensure initiatives can be executed to time, cost, quality and strategy.
  • Ensure all legal, regulatory and compliance frameworks are met.
  • Lead the delivery of changes to customers working closely with product, marketing and tech, ensuring consistent fortnightly delivery of customer value.
  • Leverage qual, quant, customer data and expertise opinion to make timely decisions.
  • Use a strong understanding of fintech and digital trends to inform decision making and generate new ideas that are truly different.
  • Mentor other team members in the Digital Experience team and lead cross functional teams in a fast-paced outcome driven environment.


Your Experience:


  • Lending products: Mortgages, unsecured, credit cards
  • In-life service design for lending products
  • Service excellence at scale across phone digital and human workforce
  • Product lifecycle management
  • Pricing and commercial decision making in relation to the portfolio
  • Technology lifecycle management
  • Process improvement in direct and indirect sales environments
  • Data and analytics as it relates to a sales and service environment
  • Experience in digital banking, retail financial services products
  • Experience in Pricing and Portfolio Management
  • Experience on external partner management
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is preferable
  • Financial services experience is preferable
