THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Project Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our projects from start to finish.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Project Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth running of our projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the activities on site, ensuring that all works are carried out in compliance with specifications, drawings, and the project schedule. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing the day-to-day activities on site and ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver asphalt surfacing projects to program and specification
- Ensuring that all materials and equipment are available on site as required.
- Liaising with the Operations Manager to ensure that the project schedule is on track.
- Liaise with asphalt plant and logistics teams to coordinate supply and delivery schedules
- Supervising and monitoring the work of our construction crews and subcontractors
- Checking and approving work completed by the construction crews and subcontractors.
- Ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed, including daily site reports, progress reports, and quality assurance reports.
- Resolving any technical issues that arise on site and providing technical advice to other team members as required.
- Carrying out regular inspections of the site to ensure that the quality of work is up to standard.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the asphalt industry.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills.
