Financial Accountant

What you’ll do

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Compliance & Taxation: Support compliance with various regulatory and tax reporting requirements (e.g., BAS, FBT, payroll tax), assisting with calculations and lodgements.
• General Ledger & Reconciliations: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Budgeting Support: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, working with relevant teams to gather information and input into financial plans.
• Process Improvement: Identify and contribute to improvements in accounting processes and systems.
  
  

What You’ll Bring

• Accounting Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Relevant Qualifications: Progress towards or completion of CA or CPA qualification is highly regarded.
• Financial Knowledge: Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS or AASB) and experience with financial systems.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse financial information.
• Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders.
