Role accountabilities:
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a key member of the payroll team, you’ll assist with the end-to-end processing of payroll for approximately 800 permanent employees monthly and 200 employees fortnightly. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting accurate and timely payroll processing
- Handling payroll ledger activities and supporting end-of-month processes
- Managing novated lease and salary sacrifice arrangements
- Assisting with payroll audits by collecting and analysing data
- Maintaining the privacy and integrity of sensitive employee information
- Performing leave, tax, superannuation, and termination calculations
- Offering timely and accurate resolutions to payroll-related queries
- Ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including STP and annualised salary requirements
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience in a similar Australian payroll role (ideally in a professional services environment)
- Strong attention to detail and great communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll related legislation
- Experience with Sage Micropay (preferred by not essential)
- Experience working with Employment Hero (highly favorable, but not essential)
- Familiarity with novated leases and salary packaging
