Are you passionate about payroll and ready to take the next step in your career? Arcadis is looking for a Payroll Officer to join our inclusive, supportive, and collaborative payroll team. We’re a close-knit group who value teamwork, accuracy, and achieving shared goals—while also having fun along the way!

Role accountabilities:

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a key member of the payroll team, you’ll assist with the end-to-end processing of payroll for approximately 800 permanent employees monthly and 200 employees fortnightly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting accurate and timely payroll processing
  • Handling payroll ledger activities and supporting end-of-month processes
  • Managing novated lease and salary sacrifice arrangements
  • Assisting with payroll audits by collecting and analysing data
  • Maintaining the privacy and integrity of sensitive employee information
  • Performing leave, tax, superannuation, and termination calculations
  • Offering timely and accurate resolutions to payroll-related queries
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation, including STP and annualised salary requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Australian payroll role (ideally in a professional services environment)
  • Strong attention to detail and great communication skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Australian payroll related legislation
  • Experience with Sage Micropay (preferred by not essential)
  • Experience working with Employment Hero (highly favorable, but not essential)
  • Familiarity with novated leases and salary packaging
