Crowne Plaza Canberra is hiring Full-time Banquet Chef to join our team. As a Banquet Chef at the Crowne Plaza Canberra, you will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our Food and Beverage operations across our Restaurant (Redsalt), Lume Bar, Crowne Meetings operation and Room service.

A little taste of your day-to-day
- Producing high quality food and presentation with a la carte dishes and buffet style
- Following kitchen and hotel policies, procedures and brand standards
- Maintaining daily cleaning throughout the kitchen
- Paying close attention to presentation, garnishing dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal.
- Leading the collaboration with the kitchen team and fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Following HAACP regulations and guidelines
- Keep abreast with new food technologies in the market, modern presentation and cooking techniques and update culinary trends
- Cooperate and partner with management in the implementation of workplace health, safety and wellbeing related initiatives.
- Coordinates and supervises the preparation and presentation of food products to ensure highest quality at all times.
- Prepare in advance food, beverage material and equipment needed for the service period
- You must have working rights in Australia
- You know the industry and what is expected of you
- Valid food handler Certificates
- Commercial cookery certification
- Experience working in a hotel kitchen or similar culinary environment is highly desirable
- Mix of skills and experience as well as personality and passion
- Be able to work autonomously and collaborate with a positive “can do attitude” with front and back of house culinary team
