SkyCity Adelaide is seeking a Building Safety & Compliance Officer for a 12-month contract to join our Property Services team.
About The Opportunity
This role supports the ongoing safety, compliance, and integrity of our buildings and infrastructure, ensuring all facilities operate to high standards within a dynamic 24/7 environment.
You will assist in implementing and monitoring SkyCity's critical risk framework, support contractor management processes (including prequalification, inductions and permit to work systems), and carry out compliance audits and inspections across essential services, emergency management, and WHS-related infrastructure.
The role also provides project coordination support to the Head of Facilities, including tracking compliance documentation, preparing reports, and assisting with contractor onboarding and site readiness.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role requiring strong coordination, sound knowledge of building codes, Australian Standards and WHS legislation, and a proactive approach to engaging both internal leaders and external contractors on compliance best practices.
About You
We're seeking someone with facilities, operations, or building compliance experience, ideally within high-footfall environments like hospitality, entertainment, or retail. You should be confident in identifying risks, maintaining compliance schedules, and engaging stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, record-keeping, and coaching abilities will be essential in this role.
Preferred candidates may have compliance auditing or safety inspection experience, exposure to systems like Azure DevOps, Donesafe, or ServiceNow, and a Certificate IV or higher in WHS, facilities management, or compliance.
