We are representing a market-leading consumer goods company with a strong local manufacturing presence and a reputation built on quality, innovation, and integrity.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and as a member of the Executive Team, you’ll lead a tight and capable HR function, with responsibility for all aspects of P&C – from workforce planning, talent acquisition, safety, employee relations and leadership development.
This is a broad generalist role for an organisation of c1,000 people, ideally suited to someone who is confident operating in a traditional manufacturing, product, sales and supply chain environment who enjoys being close to the people and the day-to-day operations of the business.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end HR operations across a national workforce including manufacturing and warehousing staff.
- Provide clear, practical advice on employee relations, performance, and compliance
- Oversee HR policies, procedures, contracts, and employment obligations (including EBAs and Awards)
- Support leaders with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and retention
- Maintain and improve HR systems, processes, and reporting
- Build trusted relationships across the business through a visible and supportive approach
- Lead and develop a team encompassing HR Generalists, Recruitment, Training and Safety.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a Senior HR Leader, ideally within a manufacturing, logistics, or operational environment
- An accomplished people leader with broad experience across the generalist HR spectrum and ability to coach a develop a team of HR specialists.
- Strong working knowledge of Australian employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- A pragmatic and resilient approach to translate your knowledge into commercial outcomes to bring new thinking to problem solving.
- Strong business partnering experience with proven ability to engage and build relationships with key stakeholders and translate business requirements into effective people practices that are aligned to business’ strategic priorities;
- An astute business adviser with good judgement and demonstrated success in situational leadership; possessing the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, to influence action and build good relationships.
- The ability to influence at the Executive level and think strategically whilst also rolling up your sleeves and taking action.
