# Responsibilities

As a Junior Design Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Drafting and preparing conceptual models and documentation for design and tendering.
  • Supporting design administration through:
    • Matrixes for tracking and compliance
    • Design programme development
    • Meeting agendas and minutes
    • Document control and version management
    • Managing RFIs
    • Issuing and tracking consultant tender packs and assisting in consultant engagement
  • Reviewing design options with a focus on quality, constructability, and cost
  • Assisting in the selection of FF&E, interior finishes, sanitary and electrical fixtures for projects
  • Coordinating with internal and external design teams to ensure timely delivery of high quality documentation
  • Supporting the Design Manager in ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations

# Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • Drafting experience (highly regarded)
  • Background in architectural, building design, or engineering design (highly regarded)
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field are not essential but will be viewed favourably
  • A proactive individual eager to grow their technical skills and thrive in a hands on construction environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for design excellence
